Field Trips

The Visitor Center’s conservation education department works closely with teachers and other group leaders to plan visits to the center. Here at the ECVC, our facility contains a wide variety of interactive educational exhibits as well as nature trails packed full of information. In addition, our conservation education staff provides educational programs that support and align with Pennsylvania State Education Standards. Our 4-D Sensory Theater also provides a marvelous account of Pennsylvania’s elk history.

Distance Learning

We understand that not all schools and groups are able to physically come to the center.  That is where KECA’s Distance Learning Program comes in! Using a live-action software application like Skype or Google Hangouts, our education staff is able to connect with classrooms all over the US to deliver our programs online at no cost to you! Plus, as an added bonus, each participating group will receive an “Elk Trunk” full of educational props students can engage in while learning about elk from us here at the center.

For more information, or to schedule a visit or distance learning session, please call our Conservation Education Department at 814-787-5173 or email ConEd@KECAUS.com
